This morning I did:
Funk Roberts - 30 Minute Total Body Dumbbell Tri-Set Torture Workout
And then:
growwithjo - 5 MIN COOL DOWN STRETCHES AFTER WORKOUT | RELAX AND RECOVER

Great workout! I had the volume a bit higher this time and his grunting and groaning was quite entertaining. Didn't have to change any of the moves with my 5kg weights, but I did do the Tricep Overhead Presses as skullcrushers on the mat with one weight and then alternating single sided as well. I want to try and do the arm workout from Monday and this one again next week - and of course add in a leg day and some ab work as well at some point. I think I might jump around with too many different workouts and it would be good to just see how I'm progressing doing the same workouts for a while and if I feel stronger or can increase weight.

IF is working well so far this week, but I am not doing it strictly. Yesterday was fine with no morning workout, but today and Monday I had a small portion of yoghurt mixed with protein powder just after my workout. Then I have my breakfast later at noon. It's still just a way to reduce calories overall for the day. Rather than having breakfast and lunch, which would both be around 400 calories I'm just aiming for one meal in that later time slot adding up to about 500 max instead.

It also helps when you meal prep and work out the calories for 3 servings and it turns out to give you 4 instead, which happened with my stir fry. So I've tracked it on the first three days and that means tomorrow I'll have a much smaller looking dinner because the calories were spread over the previous three days already. The problem for me comes over the weekend when hubby wants to have pizza and burgers and all the usual stuff that I convince myself I'll fit within my calories - and then don't. So I need to work on reducing portion sizes and I might end up having my pizza over two days and bring back the good old side salad.

Couldn't sleep for a while last night feeling quite hungry - and I ended on 1651 yesterday. I honestly don't know how people can stick to 1400 for days on end - I just feel so hungry sometimes - and it gets me at night when I'm trying to fall asleep. I guess I just have to push through it, but it's tough. Water intake has been good and it looks like I'll be up 1kg from my last weigh-in, which is fine since I was close to 71kg last week.

Will aim for another workout on Friday morning and keeping up with a daily walk of at least 45 minutes.

Your post was like reading my own diary, Love grow with Jo, doing a weight training app, and walking. Also doing IF for 36hrs twice a week, but thinking of doing 1 meal a day instead.. Weekends are also my downfall Hubby makes home made Pizzas every Friday and I've split it and added a salad to cut the cals, lol, and I weighed myself this morning 71.2k. So very similar, Keep up the good work and the odd treat is a necessity for a good life nothing to feel bad or worry about. Have a great day,😎☀️

Thanks ellieree! Ooh - homemade pizzas are the best!!! I try to do 80/20 as well - healthy eating most of the time, but room for all the other things as well in that 20 percent. Hope you have a great day too! xxx

I do IF as well and having 2 meals a day is a good way to keep the calories down. My last meal is usually 2 or 3pm. Sometimes I'll have a hot cup of tea or something to drink if I get too hungry at night. But I kind of like the empty feeling when I go to sleep.

@Nikina70 I bought my hubby a pizza oven about 10 years ago so the girls insist on pizza Friday as a family tradition, so it's my own fault. 🤪🤭😉

Wow! It is interesting to hear people's different eating windows, Fritzy. I think I'd be ravenous in the evenings if I had my last meal at 3, but it just goes to show that different methods work for different people and it's all just about finding what works for us. And it's interesting to hear that you like the feeling of being empty - I can appreciate that, but for me it kinda feels like it's just an empty pit crying out to be filled. I need to try to change my perception I think. Thanks for your comment!😊

I'm with you Nikina. I've been known to not eat all day if I'm busy, but I'd be starving if I didn't eat after 3. My last meal is between 7:30 to 8:30 with dessert after. So, I don't usually eat anything after 9 to 9:30 PM. Breakfast is usually at the average person's lunch time....11 to noon.

Totally agree, Sherry. I try to aim for my last snack around 8pm and then last glass of water at 9pm. We eat dinner earlier than anyone we know at 5pm - old habit because we work from home and it just stuck. Then we have dessert around 7 and a snack later while we're watching something. We usually have lunch at noon, which I guess is also earlier than many. So I'm just cancelling lunch and having breakfast at noon instead of around 8am. I find if I just have lunch and dinner I miss my oats/bran/fruit too much so this way makes me happier. But I might switch it up week to week. Hope you're having a lovely week! xxx

Janapp - I do use sugar free gum through the day, but I haven't actually thought of chewing some when I get hunger pangs at night. Maybe I should try it and just try to sleep again after chewing one piece. I would feel like I'd need to brush my teeth again though (which I think would wake me up more if I did).:)

Nikina - I think I got into the habit of having a very light dinner when I worked later shifts. When I worked 10am to 7pm I just didn't feel like cooking so would have toast or cereal. Now I'm retired and I still don't feel like cooking! I get up around 5am (pets won't let me sleep in) and go to bed early. I'm starving when I wake up so doing IF it just works for me to start to eat early and end early
