I was pleased that I only increased by 1.2 lbs. I always weigh just before bed to gage how much "damage" I may have done during the day 😐 I'm not sure why, cause I fluctuate different amounts overnight. I was sure I was finally going to hit over 145....I ate a LOT yesterday! I stuck with water after 7PM, so that may have helped.

Hubby & I had our usual breakfast of fruit, bagels & coffee on Christmas day then we unwrapped our gifts. I made corn casserole to take to my Niece's for dinner. My 3 sisters, both Nieces, their Hubbys, & my 2 great nieces were there. My sister (next in line after me) & Nieces cooked all the goodies for dinner. My youngest sister had baked 2 cakes for dessert. I was stuffed after we ate! I think that's partially cause I'm not used to eating that amount of food. We just hung out & spent time together.

After we got home we Video chatted with our Neice & Nephew in Canada for over an hour. They told us they weren't able to have their planned outdoor Family party due to Covid restrictions. Groups over 10 are banned & there were around 20 of them 🙁 They had Christmas dinner...the 2 of them, their daughter & her boyfriend.

Today I spent a good part of the day cuddled under the comforter in my bed watching DVR'D TV. I felt a bit tired & unmotivated to do anything else. "Lunch" was Egg Nog, mixed nuts, sesame sticks & a couple of cookies. Dinner is planned to be scrambled eggs with cheese & toast. Hubby didn't feel very energetic either, so he's been in his recliner with MY cuddly blanket watching football with the sound off & napping. I think he's trying to get a cold but I feel better after a day of just relaxing. The past few weeks have been so busy.

Remember that the food you eat today doesn’t pass out of your body for about 3 days. You have 26 feet of intestine. Weighing are night to check the damage really doesn’t make much sense. It tells you nothing of the FAT you have put on your body, it confirms that there is a large or a smaller volume of S##t that still has to make it through your digestive system

Kenna, I understand my nightly weigh ins have no scientific basis. I do them to amuse myself. I weigh in the mornings & record. I gave myself some latitude to eat some treats during the holidays & so far have maintained below goal. If I suddenly shot up I'd cut back. I plan to return to my usual WOE in January. That does include treats in moderation, too.
