Oops! Yesterday was my 5 month anniversary of Healthy Living and I forgot to recognize it! Dang! I'm gonna have to go buy myself some flowers! Or perfume? Hmmm!

I also realized I've missed a month of posting my 'small but subtle changes' list every Saturday. This sure seems like a short list. One of my friends commented her list didn't give her the same 'wowza' as she'd expected as well. I am going to accept for 'me' that I'm just in that 'steady as she goes' phase and be happy for these little things. Better than going backward.

Echoing another friend's sentiments I had a 1lb loss this week but am either finally sane or in complete denial because I'm fine with that though it seemed to depressed the FS Scale-bot. Last week the bot predicted I'd reach goal in three months; today it predicted it will take a year. Awwwwwwee - poor depressed bot.

But I too agree (with DK, not the bot) if I can continue to eat contentedly, not feel denied anything, and still wake up in Jan2014 52lbs lighter instead of heavier I'll be quite happy. And slimmer.

So here goes the Small Subtle Changes since 12/22:
*Lost 9lbs bringing total to 74lbs since 8/25/12
*Wearing jeans now six sizes smaller than when I started
*Wearing ring guards now because my fingers are smaller
*Upped calories, fat & protein; decd'd carbs and lived to tell about it
*Survived a 3 week plateau without giving up
*Discovered beef makes me hungry but tuna suppresses my appetite
*Learned new ways to make a sandwich without bread
*Started going to bed earlier and sleeping better
*Found new ways to have a crunch food without chips
*Added hummus to my healthy snack choices and like it
*Jogged briefly on my treadmill
*Continued to be inspired and encouraged daily by my great friends here at FatSecret.

Great list :) And I don't think it's short at all! You have lots of awesome accomplishments there. Congrats on the 5 month anniversary!

WOW 72 lbs. in 5 months! That is wonderful! And I bet you feel amazing too. Love your list. So what is your crunchy alternative? Mine is kale chips but are a lot of work.
