Yesterday the heat let up enough I was able to walk in the afternoon. The day before it was so hot, close & miserable we didn't even try. It's hot again today but not too bad in the shade. It thundered off in the distance for the longest time yesterday but we never did get any rain at the house.

Along with the deer, birds, squirrels & other assorted creatures it appears we have a bat haven. Last Summer we had one hanging ( literally 😊) around in the eaves of the covered deck. A few days ago it appeared to have gotten a mate. Today I see there are 3 of them! 😐 I'm not sure how I feel about a growing colony. When we see them they are just hanging up there....I think trying to stay cool.

I had a conversation with my daughter a couple of days ago. I was telling her my doctor had told me if I kept my weight at 145 or below that would be good....my BMI would be in the acceptable range. She kinda laughed & said you know that's about what my weight has gotten up to. She had always been thin but able to eat pretty much whatever & whenever she wanted. And I was always bigger than her. A couple of years ago she started gaining weight. Now her "fat" weight is my "skinny" weight. It's all perspective. I told her I couldn't see myself weighing 120 to 125 again....I think I'd be too skinny. She agreed & said I look thin now. I could maybe see 135 but absolutely no lower. And if I stay where I am (between 142 & 145) I'm happy.

Angus sirloin steaks planned for dinner....not sure what else. I made wraps with Lavash bread, sliced pork tenderloin (finished off the leftovers), spinach, jalapeño cheese dip as a spread & sliced tomato for Hubby & I for lunch. I still haven't gotten the hang of using the Lavash bread. Hubby had to eat his with a fork cause his kinda crumbled.
