ketone experiment : wake up .7 , 7 hours later after work and 1 cup of coffee with splenda 2.0. My meals for the last few days have been ground beef and butter/coconut oil and some bakers chocolate. I'm going to keep my foods the same for a few more days. I'm going to eliminate the coffee and see if that makes any difference. it might not. then I'll try lowering my protein. chasing ketones is not necessary to lose on keto, but I don't lose much weight on keto and am trying to increase ketones for cognitive and autoimmune things. maybe my body needs higher ketones. everyone is different! keto on! 😀

Should think there has to be ketones. You do not get carbs. How much fat are you eating_

Liv001 everyone is different. I've heard many different things and I've seen Doctor say women need to keep their fat lower but I still think it comes down to the individual if it's not working you gotta change it up. my percentage of fat is high right now. you can look at my journal.

Yes, do you thing! Keep 'tweaking' it. I definitely get better weight loss when I keep my protein around 50g a day. The body uses amino acids that are contained in the protein and my body will create all but the essential amino acids and I don't need to consume more than 50g of protein a day for those. When I am water fasting I am getting 0% protein and I-am-doing-just-fine with just vitamin supplements.

Autoimmune healing start with good and kind skin care. Our internal skin that is, the Gastrointestinal Tract. The best skin care products is animal sourced fats. Doing healing of skin like this, may show up as higher ketone levels, so what you're doing sounds promising. Bet you'll get to your desired goals.
