anyone else notice weight loss after a high calorie (of course high fat keto) day? I've seen it about 3 times! half pound, I'll take it! 👍😀

Baskington! Good morning! I see so many people on keto losing weight, then I go look at their food log and they are very much calorie restricting! As you know, I really want to lose but weight but most importantly I'm trying to turn my health around. I bet the weight will melt off when I'm feeling better. I felt like crap when I was 40 pounds thinner too, sooo, I know it isn't all my weight ✌ I'm eating wayyyy more "calories" than I ever have on a "diet" but I'm holding steady and even dropping a pound here and there! 👍 YES! Happy Sunday!

For me only the carbs matter. However, it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to consume more than 1500 calories and still consume less than 20 carbs. This means I will always have a 'calorie deficit'. However, I can consume 1500 calories and 200 carbs. In this case I will not LOSE weight. I will GAIN weight.

That we “don’t” lose but as soon as we have a lil fun 😋😜 (unstressed) we lose weight 👍🏼

adefwebserver it is totally possible to eat a lot more calories than that. I can do it in a heartbeat. Each a heart healthy avocado. that should be 400 to 600 calories right there. Have a hamburger patty, 6 to 8 ounces, that is a ton of calories too. even at 80% lean. We love pork. I love steak so we have that once or twice a week, believe me if you eat meat you can easily hit 2000. the only thing I listed that has carbs was the avocado. butter has none, mayo if you have something like dukes has a trace because it has no sugar in it. I am sure your wife is reading the labels to find hidden surgars. Eggs are great and have a small amount. been a while since I ate them. All meat pork, beef is carb free. lettuce and other salad greens are so low in carbs it takes a lot to get past 2. don't tell me you don't eat meat?? look up some meats and see what I mean.

Yay Jenjabba! I haven't paid attention enough to notice if from high calories, but wow I sure notice it on days I have extra vegetables even with a few more carbs. Kale, carrots and onions seem to be good things for my body.

@baskington - I did 1700 calories in ribs on July 4th, but I needed 86 carbs to go with it. I try to eat a lot of ground beef, but, after a certain amount, my body just rejects it (I simply cannot eat another bite and if I did it would 'came back up' - - I realize the 'high fat' is an issue here vs. the ribs) :( However, I could easily eat a dozen donuts! :) I don't eat avocados, but if I did, I suspect my body would also 'reject' it (fat content again). You can see my food log rarely has me go above 2k calories (on eating days) and that is always with nearly 100 carbs.

it is not a matter of eating a lot, one burger is not a lot is it?? it is about all I manage at a time, but I do eat 3 times a day at least something with protein in it. I don't look to stuff myself at one time. New mind set I think.
