NOTE TO SELF! Why I'm keto! because it is keeping me from being a diabetic! it stops cravings, inflammation, and keeps me mentally strong without that carb fatigue dip in the middle of the day I can eat till satisfied. with that said, HEY SCALE, YOU SUCK 😁

So your sucky scale is not showing all the amazing health benefits you have achieved. Stick a nasty note on that scale and walk away from it for a few days. Maybe it will get the message.❤️

Judy keto is 20 or below especially when you are getting started. I am more a zero carbber

Keto means you are in ketosis. It doesn't mean 20 carbs or less it means you are staying in ketosis,

Judy to stay and be in ketosis you must do 20 carbs total or less, then test yourself and see how you do, some people can do net carbs but most people need to stick to 20 total carbs including all your hidden carbs to read all your labels

I know this is contrary to consensus, but I don't worry about whether I'm in ketosis. I try to eat high fat, low carb, moderate protein, and when the weight drops, I'm happy. When it goes up, I try harder the next day. Sometimes I deliberately eat what I shouldn't, and then go back to Keto-type eating. My ultimate goal is dropping the blood sugar, my second is dropping the weight and I'm not trying to hit ketosis. Maybe it would be faster if I did, but at my age, the fact that I'm approaching both goals at all is satisfaction enough. I don't measure ketosis. I do know, if I eat more than 20 net carbs my progress will be slower. Sometimes I'm in ketosis and sometimes I'm not. If I reach my goal of 10 lbs less by the time we start our cruise, I will be supremely happy, but if I don't, I'll just keep on eating carefully during the cruise, as I plan to do even if I lose the 10 by then. Keto type eating does work, even if you don't quite hit the ketosis mark. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. :-)

Keto is so great! Helped me so much! I tried talking my 2 younger sisters into giving it a try, but they just can’t wrap their head around it 🤷‍♀️
