Keeping a balance between enjoying social meals with good friends and weight maintenance while on vacation is the present goal.
Walking the main exercise with some gym time and biking (when able) to keep aerobic and muscle fitness.
Tavira, Portugal pics, 40 km urban mountain biking with Lisa (she's on an ebike) with a lunch stop. I did hill intervals after dropping her off at our condo. Great day again!

Middle of weight window, so no change in set weight.
Lots of skiing, dog walks and indoor bike training with occasional snow shoveling (as needed) rounds out my winter "gym" time and monthly calorie expenditures.
Haven't needed to restrict calorie intake much with my recent and current activity levels with longer trainer rides (2 hours plus) requiring +/- 250 calories of carbs per hour along with electrolyte mix, gatorade and chocolate milk supplying additional calories and hydration.
First picture taken at Big Sky, Montana near the end of an early February, nine day ski trip with my best ski buddy, Chuck...we've been skiing together over forty years.
Second pic taken at Mangey Moose (Guiness - adult hydration), the end our second day at Jackson Hole, WY.

Still maintaining in middle of weight window so no change in set weight. Christmas season exceeded set weight for a bit, but settled back in the window after the new year.
Activity stats for 2023:
> 239 days with an activity and corresponding heartrate logged
> 478 hours activity logged in the year
> 12,499 kms biked with 84,404m climbed
> approximately 290,000 calories burned during logged activities (+/- 610 cal/hr).
Still logging food intake and active exercise on a daily basis.

Maintenance continues...older but not much wiser, still logging everyday (since mid 2015), still not "dieting", but for sure aware of dangerous trends and deal with them as soon as practical.
Good luck all, you longtimers that helped make this possible for me, a very heartfelt thank you...Bill, John, Wannabhealthier, Don, GG, etc....if I missed you, you know who you are.
Working back into winter shape for skiing after a long golf season (lots of walking)....take care, Steven

Middle of weight window, so no change in set weight. 7,480 kms biked this year, acreage yard work and 30 plus rounds of golf walked help with the monthly calorie burn rates. Still always a work in progress...
